Friday 22 August 2014
On Friday 22 August, Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, Vince Cable, visited Teddington Memorial Hospital to meet staff and patients and hear about the vital care that our community hospital provides for his constituents.
Dr Cable received a guided tour of the hospital from Tom Penman, urgent care divisional manager - and was extremely impressed by the services he saw. He then met with chief executive Frank Sims, and chairman Stephen Swords.
The secretary of state had already received fantastic feedback about the quality of care that the hospital's inpatient staff provide from one of his constituents, who had recently been a patient at the hospital.
Teddington Memorial Hospital provides a range of invaluable community health services for local people, including a NHS Walk-in Centre, inpatient rehabilitation unit, musculoskeletal physiotherapy services, and diagnostics department.
You can find out more about our community health services at our forthcoming Health Fair and Annual General Meeting, on Tuesday 16 September at Clarendon Hall, York House, Twickenham.
