On 31 March 2016, the Lloyds Pharmacy at Teddington Memorial Hospital is closing as its contract is coming to its natural end.
NHS England (London) has been working closely with local health partners to ensure that Teddington residents and the wider Richmond community continue to have easy access to high quality community pharmacy services by reinvesting the money saved from the Lloyds Pharmacy contract ending back into local community pharmacy services.
From 1 April 2016, pharmacy services for inpatients and walk-in centre patients will be available through a new service commissioned by Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare.
If you are staying at Teddington Memorial Hospital or using its walk-in centre, you will not see any changes to how you receive pharmacy services.
If you currently use Lloyds Pharmacy, you will continue to be able to access pharmacy services close to Teddington Memorial Hospital, with two pharmacies within a three minute walk from the hospital (0.3 miles) and a further five within a 10 minute walk or bus ride. One of these, KC Pharmacy, has now been awarded a contract to extend their usual working hours from 1 April 2016 to:
- Monday: 09:00-20:00
- Tuesday: 09:00-20:00
- Wednesday: 09:00-20:00
- Thursday: 09:00-20:00
- Friday: 09:00-20:00
- Saturday: 09:00-20:00
- Sunday: 16:00-20:00
This does not include the bank holidays.
NHS England (London) has also invested in a borough-wide minor ailment service, which NHS Richmond CCG will be developing to suit local need.
NHS England (London) would welcome any ideas about pharmacy services generally in the area and would like to look at any ideas or suggestion you may have. Get in touch on 0203 182 4993 or England.firstname.lastname@example.org
