NHS cyber-attack: Latest update for HRCH services

NHS logo
Latest update: Monday 15 May, 1pm

Update for patients:

Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare NHS Trust has not been directly affected by the cyber-security incident on Friday 12 May and the majority of our services are running as usual.

However, due to restricted access to partner organisations’ IT systems, there has been some impact on our X-ray provision at Teddington Memorial Hospital, while some outpatient clinics at Teddington Memorial Hospital may also be affected:

  • X-ray: We are continuing to provide X-rays for patients who have been referred by their GP.  X-rays for patients attending our Walk-in Centre will depend on clinical need (severity)

  • Outpatient clinics: Patients should check with the relevant NHS organisation (service provider) as to whether their outpatient clinics will be going ahead at Teddington Memorial hospital.

Update for local NHS / health and social care providers:

X-ray at Teddington Memorial Hospital: CAMIS / RMS / PACs are currently down

  • Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust has advised that all outreach clinics are currently being restricted – and the timing has not yet been confirmed as to when these clinics will be re-instated. Therefore we are not able to register patients electronically, however the radiographer is able to undertake this manually.

  • We are unable to send any X-rays via IEP to West Middlesex currently for radiologist reporting.   Walk-in Centre staff at Teddington Memorial Hospital are currently not able to review any X-rays in the department on PACs, but can review them in X-ray room.

GP hub at Teddington Memorial Hospital (provided by Richmond GP Alliance)

  • We have been advised that the Vision 360 patient record system has been restored.

Urgent Care Centre (Hounslow)

  • SystmOne is backed up at West Middlesex University Hospital and working.  We are now working through a process of getting paper notes back into the system and making sure GP’s and Health visitors get discharge summaries.

  • PACS is back up and working.
