Parents and children are invited find out more about local school nursing services at a series of open days run by Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare NHS Trust.
The events will provide an opportunity for local people to meet the teams of school nurses, learn about the support that the nurses offer to children, young people and schools across the boroughs of Hounslow and Richmond, or have your say on how the services can be further improved.
The drop-in events will feature interactive displays and stalls covering:
Healthy weight and the National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP)
Special needs and medical conditions
Enuresis (bed wetting)
Sexual health and relationships
New technology showcase – find out about the app being developed by the team
Jenny Robinson, school nurse team manager said: “The trust has worked closely with local public health teams across Hounslow and Richmond to develop and enhance the local services that we provide – resulting in a truly responsive service that meets the needs of children, young people and schools.
“These events give you the chance to find out more about the exciting new developments we are introducing within the teams – such as an innovative new smartphone app we are working on for local children and young people.”
