Tuesday 12 November 2013

The 2013 staff excellence award winners were announced at a prestigious ceremony on Friday 8 November.

Five staff members and three teams went away winners, having been recognised for their commitment, dedication, innovation and the important part they play to providing high quality care to our patients.

The event also marked the long service of many of the Trust's staff within the NHS and staff that had retired in the past year.

The event was formally opened by chairman Stephen Swords, before interim chief executive Mark Millar announced the awards to both winners and runners up.

Interim chief executive Mark Millar said: “I’m delighted to be here today recognising the dedication and successes of our staff.

“Our staff make a difference to hundreds of people locally every day and this is one way we can recognise the positive impact they have. The awards recognise those who consistently provide a high level of care to our patients, inspiring others and delivering beyond expectations.

“Being here today has shown me how providing excellent individualised patient care is at the very heart of what we do.”
