Infection prevention and control

We are committed to taking all possible measures to keep our patients and clients safe and minimise the risk of infections - whether being cared for at home, in a community clinic or centre, or as an inpatient.

Our team of specialist nurses is responsible for advising on and promoting best infection prevention and control practise in accordance with evidence based standards and national guidance.  The team also provides mandatory training and education for our staff.

Visitors to our sites can help us by cleaning their hands with the disinfectant hand rub available when entering and leaving areas where healthcare is being provided. We encourage the reporting of any concerns regarding cleanliness, equipment or practise.

Together we can work to minimise the risk of acquiring a healthcare associated infection.
