To highlight World Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) Day 2023 the Hounslow Borough Respiratory Support Group (HBRSG) are hosting a free health and care event on Saturday 18 November, from 10.30am to 3.30pm at St Johns Community Centre, St Johns Road, Isleworth, TW7 6RU.
This event is open to all residents and families living in Hounslow who are impacted by long-term health conditions, such as COPD and asthma.
The day is being delivered with the support of local NHS health partners and Hounslow Council to create awareness of the health and care services available to residents with respiratory conditions.
Visitors can benefit from free health checks as well as a range of health stalls and information about support to stop smoking, lung health checks, the new Be-friending service, eye health, dementia, and the care support offers available in Hounslow.
Attendees can also enjoy free 15 minute chair yoga exercise classes between 11am and 1pm, where they can learn new ways to improve mobility and balance.
