NHS England/NHS Improvement is pleased to announce the appointment of Sian Bates as Chair of Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare NHS Trust from 1 February 2020 to 31 August 2021.
This appointment in London sees Sian continue in her current separate role as Chairman of Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
Sir David Sloman, Regional Director of the NHS in London said: “I look forward to working with Sian in her new role as Chair of Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare. Sian brings valued experience improving services across the health and care system for the benefit of Londoners.”
The appointment recognises Sian’s experience of community trusts, as Chair of the Primary Care Trust in Richmond before community trusts were given independent status, as well as having a great deal of experience as a provider Chair in the local health economy.
Patricia Wright, Chief Executive of Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare NHS Trust, said: “I am delighted to welcome Sian to the trust and look forward to working with her. She brings a breadth and depth of experience in health and care which will support the delivery of the trust strategy in the context of broader system working.”
Sian Bates said: “I very much look forward to working with colleagues across Kingston, Richmond and Hounslow to make the greatest contribution to improving health. Both Boards are focused on patient care and integration of services, recognising the opportunity to move the transformation agenda on at pace and enable closer team work between the two providers to help the population we serve.”
