THSCC outpatient facility development

In August 2024, we are starting some works at Teddington Health and Social Care Centre (THSCC), at the back of the Teddington Hospital site, to create new outpatient facilities for local people.

The new clinic space will allow more people to access specialist care locally, rather than travelling to hospital.

We are also making improvements to the garden area and rest facilities for our staff, so they can be at their best.

This is part of a wider strategy to bring healthcare closer to where people live, with a focus on prevention and early intervention.

The work will mainly involve interior refurbishments of the existing space and some landscaping of the ward garden.

During the works, there will be some temporary ground level structures in the THSCC carpark to facilitate the building team.

We anticipate that work will start on site from 13 August 2024.

Contractors may be on site before this date to set up and prepare the site.

As with all works, there may be some noise and disruption, but we will work with our contractors to keep this to a minimum.

Work is expected to take place between 7.30am and 4pm on weekdays and the contractor will manage all site deliveries to minimise any congestion.

We are very sorry for any inconvenience the building works may cause to local residents, but we hope the resulting facilities will ensure local people can access health services more easily, without having to travel to a larger hospital.
